A new class of reagents, the BLINK Reactor Beads, have been developed to facilitate extensive, highly flexible multiplexing and quantitation.
The BLINK Reactor Beads are encoded beads that combine multiple roles into one self-contained unit. The beads are the capture matrix, they carry the detection reagents and are the amplification reactor.
BLINK beads can be used to simply run a digital amplification assay on the BLINK One platform or to set up highly multiplexed (ultraplex) molecular assays with single molecule sensitivity. The beads can be coated with capture agents that specifically bind the analyte. A variety of agents can be used such as antibodies, oligonucleotides or other binders, providing optimal flexibility for assay design. The entire particle is uniquely colour coded, enabling optical identification of individual particles.
